Photography The Photography class was taught by Mr. Erly Garner. The class learned how to use a 35mm camera and how to develop their film by using the school 3 darkroom equipment. The class often were given assignments to take pic- tures of certain objects, such as reflec- tions and snow. The-students also gave oral reports on developments in pho- tography. Physical Science Two levels of Physical Science were offered this year at Bandys. In both levels students learned the basic con- cepts that made up the field of science. They also gained experience in a labo- ratory by doing simple experiments. History This year there were several dqferent history courses offered. Advanced Placement History, which was offered to juniors and seniors, was an extension of U.S. History. It offered a more de- tailed study of American History. U.S. History, as well as Civics, was required for graduation. It familiarized students with im- portant events in our nations past. Civics fo- cused on government and politics. The World History class studied the ancient civilizations and cultures. They also learned the locations of countries through a study of geogra- phy. Special Topics centered around class discus- sions of the main events in history. It allowed students to explore areas they were most inter- ested in. All of the history courses allowed the students to explore the past, to relate to the present, and to prepare for the future. K X.
