Quiz Bowl The Quiz Bowl team was very active this year. They competed in the Catawba County Tournament held at the Catawba County Library and in the High- Q Tournament held at Central Piedmont Community College. The Quiz Bowl Team sponsor was Mrs. Rog- ers. Through her hard work and effort the team gained experience and knowledge. The team spent time in the afternoons practicing and preparing for the tournaments. Quiz Bowl was a well worth experi- ence. Top right: Mrs. Rogers read this question to the participants. Media Center The media center provided many students with the chance to gain knowledge through books. It offered an assortment of books ranging from biographies to science fiction material. The media center was also very valuable to students who had to do research. It offered a quiet and peaceful environment for those students who needed to study. It had a supply of magazines and audio visuals that were available for the students to use for their own need. Mrs. Nolley was the head librarian and Mrs. Lee served as the assistant. Through the efforts of these two women, many students learned how to develop efficient library skills. The media center was a very important asset to the school and the students.
