This is America 1976 — 200 years after the founding of our great nation. Bandys was a self-contained com- munity that mirrored the mood of America. Our prevailing attitude toward the bicentennial matched the nation's — in- different; stimulated by foot- ball games and parades, but usually lost in the hassles of day-to-day living.
