Then 1954 finally came and due to consolidation, fifty-four seniors from both Sherrill’s Ford and Balls Creek entered the new consolidated high school, Bandys. We missed the old schools, but our new school became dear to our hearts in just a few short days. We entered the senior class fully aware of the fact that we were on the last step of our journey. We were happy, yet just a little sad at the thought. As the days passed in the senior year, we became closer and friendship with our classmates deepened. There were so many things to do this last year--the publishing of the yearbook, the TROJAN, the different clubs, sports, Junior-Senior Banquet, and Senior Play- - that caused our year to pass swiftly. We suddenly realized that graduation day was near, and we were to be the first graduating class of Bandys High School. We realize that we are stepping into a future with opportunities and misfortunes, but we are willing to accept the good with the bad and continue, as always, to strive toward a life richly blessed by success and happiness. As we leave we feel we have lived the most wonderful years of our lives; yet we face the future with a smile. May everyone we have known and loved in school always-be happy. Had it not been for the patience and understanding of our teachers and principals at Sherrill's Ford and Balls Creek, and Mr. W. L. Guy, our principal, and the eleven teachers at Bandys, we could never have attained our goal. Now as we leave, we will not say good-bye - -just so long and God bless you.
