More Than just Intelligence Members of the National Honor Society are chosen on the basis of four qualities, Character, Service, Leadership, and Scholarship. Members must exhibit these in their classes and extracurricular activities. After screening possible candidates for a grade average of 85 or above, their other qualities are ranked by a committee of faculty members to determine who will be initiated. This year only eleven students were selected for this honor. These eleven were initiated May 7 in a special ceremony held in the auditorium. Each of the officers of NHS spoke on one of the four qualities that should be present in NHS members.
