Sweepstakes Trophy was enjoyed by the Swingin' Band from Bulldog Land this year for the first time in ten years. After being in the rut of receiving a 2-2-1 split for the past four years in marching, they finally received a Divi- sion I. They now had one foot over the hill, striving to get the next over. Many long hours went into both marching and concert to make the best perfor- mance ever! At the next contest, Concert and Sightreading, the band received straight one's from every judge, the highest ratings in Class AAA. They won the long awaited Sweepstakes Trophy. Seniors in their band careers have been a part of five division one's in concert and now a cherished sweepstakes trophy. Individual performance is a great asset to the band organization. Seven students made the All-Region band and two of those students advanced to Area. In solo and ensemble contest We had nine receive division one's and will go on to State. So many great things have happened to the band this year that you could say Time was on our side in the Bulldog Band! Wan,wz1m'zm .... -' ..
