U Senior Slave Day is the an- nual event in which the members of the senior class sell themselves as slaves to underclassmen, classmates, and teachers. This is all done in the spirit of fun Cand sometimes revenge!J to help the senior class raise money for their year-end activities such as their Senior Day trip and Graduation. It is traditional for the masters to dress the slaves in fto say the leastj unusual costumes. There are also many odd stunts thought up by the masters to amuse the public fand sometimes em- barrass the slaves!D. Trends of the 80's 1984 has brought about many fads. Both boys and girls have been caught up in a whirlwind of trends. This year these include - je1ly's, crop pants, twister beads, shimmels, Kaepa's, designer jeans, topsiders, penny loafers, button-down shirts, Polo's, Izod's, punk haircuts, break dancing, the moonwalk, body building, aerobics, Visors, the coast, sunglasses, O.P. t-shirts, basketball shoes, Care Bears, Cabbage Patch Kids, Garfield, Smurfs, E.T., the movie Terms of E . Endearment, Michael jackson, video games, Man, bandanas, short prom dresses, the color 1 and purple, computers, parachute pants, Sevens Magazine, and add-a-bead necklaces. Some of tl will last but many will fade away only to remembered by the 80's generation. Our chilc will probably think we're crazy for wearing and ing the things we did, but we'll think of it as part the Times of Our Lives. ' pa 224 Fads
