Homecoming 1983 was highlighted with the presentation of Mr. and Miss BHS. Seniors, Tim Butler and Lisa Vakey were the recipients of the prestigious award. Homecoming was not only halftime presenta- tions, it started on the previous Monday with Clash the RoHawks day. Thursday was the traditional building of the bonfire, the burn, and the cheerleaders doing their stuff. Friday anticipa- tion filled the air. The outdoor pep rally began, once again the cheerleaders yelled and for the first time the Flag Corps did a dance routine. Student Council decorated after school in hopes of a successful Homecoming dance. That night the game started with the Bandera Bulldogs against the Randolph RoHawks. In Bulldog history, we had never beaten Randolph in football. We entered the game with a one win, no lose record in district. When the game was over we had 2 wins! This game will not soon be forgot- ten by students, community, or players. After the game students attended a great Homecoming Dance. Pictures were taken by Bub- ba Caloss and music was provided by Gary Galland and Shane Yates. At the close of Homecoming Week, everyone had the same feel- ing, this year was, Once again, unforgettable! spirit. Above: The breakthrough that signifies the beginn ing of Homecoming Night 1983.
