Track Sends Five The 1984 Track Team had a disappointing season with the loss of District but five members were able to qualify for Regionals. These qualifiers include: Steve Nolan, Delbert Ducheneaux, Iames Compton, Gene Mathews and jimmy Sides. They were entered in the sprint relay, 110 and 300m, hurdles, and the 200m. run. Coach Tony Iohnson said, We had a pretty good year considering. The most exciting part of the whole season was when Delbert qualified for both the 110 and 300m. hurdles at District. The Junior Var- sity Track Team placed third at District. Next year they should all be returning. The mile relay will be back stronger than ever, said Coach Johnson. This year's track team consisted of only five seniors so the underclassmen really dominated the team. Next year's team should be a strong and experienced team. .rr . M .
