Senior Class Prophecy The year is now 1999, and the Jr. Class of '79 has decided to check up on the lives of the Seniors of '79. To do this, we have had to reach the far corners of the earth to find all of them. Our first stop is in Chicago. Here we took a tour of the Mazola Oil Company, where we discover CHRIS SAMUELS is now President. Over lunch, Chris tells us he still enjoys bowling with his Goodwill bowling ball and bag, and still has his high school average of 105. Chris tells us that somewhere in the Midwest, CRAIG GEHRING is a certified pig farmer, where he is doing a great job raising little porkies. On to Mexico, where we see a fat little man, tending to his beehives, married to a Mexican. After a second glance, we recognize him as RITCHIE LUTJEN. In Dallas, Texas, we stop in at K-MART and to our surprise, we find DUANE SORENSEN working as a cashier. He told us he loves his job there, because the parking is so convenient. While talking to Duane, a strange sight appears in front of us. A maroon limousine with a blue hood pulls up: LEX LOTZ steps out and opens the door for Debi Carter. He is her personal chauffeur, and he tells us he is Mila Heise's personal ? We see a strange, curly-haired woman working as parking attendant at K-MART, and as she approaches us, we notice her as MARILYN BENNETT. No wonder the parking is so convenient, huh Duane? From Dallas Fort Worth Airport, we fly to Germany where the Annual Adolph Hitler Party is being held. We run into MILA HEISE and she tells us she now has her own catering service, and she says this party is the biggest job of the year. Her partner in the catering business is REGINA RAASCH who always seems to get out of the hard jobs. To our surprise, JOE CARTER is at the party in full uniform, showing off his Private E-l Air Guard medals. Due to the Air Guard strike, we are detoured to Siberia. In the streets, we see HEATH CORNETT, being walked by his dogs, still broke and saving for a new car. While we refuel in Japan, we tour an auto factory, where NETTIE MOHL tests bright lights . When asked how she likes the job, she said she was getting rather sick of it. Back in the states, we stop at a Drive-In, where we see a double feature: The Lone Ranger starring MARK RUSSMAN, and Saturday Night Fever, Part II starring VICKI LOGEMAN, side-by-side with Jerry Travolta. Can't do much better better than that, can you? In Denver, LAURIE MERRICK is busy manufacturing Crazy Crutches when she isn't getting bubblefaced on the mountain tops. Lauris told us that PAM BIRD works at a resort, because she was equipped with her own slopes. Experts say they are the best around. At the Denver indoor track, we see MARVIN REDDING conditioning for the 2000 Olympics. He says his fastest time is when Steve Rief is behind him, to give him a boost. After talking to Marvin, we went to a motel for the night. LEE PETERSEN owns it, under the name of Sleepy Hollow . Sitting in the motel, we were watching T.V., when suddenly a newsflash appeared saying JACKIE GARDES was now President of United States. We saw her give her first national speech, and had to laugh because she was still doing her handicrafts. The next News Update stated that the new Evil Knievel has been revealed. Could it be? Yes, it is SCOTT NEWELL. He has already performed once in his hometown, where he did a wheelie on his motorcycle, the complete distance of the schoolhouse hill, with one slight accident, but it was OK, he landed safely on his head. Back in Nebraska, we stop to talk to JACCIE CASE, where she lives on a big ranch, producing “Space Cadets , and having a good time at it. At West Point, we run into TERRY EDWARDS. He has good news, telling us he received one promotion and is now head weinie-packer. While in West Point, we picked up a West Point Republican and now see that CINDY MILLER has taken over Herm's Hotline. We hear, though, the only problem is, she has begun to act just like him. On the way home, we see something in the sky. It's a bird, it's a plane, no, it's Super-BEN to save all the little girls in the world from all boys that destroy the little girl's cars. Keep it up, Ben! Considering what God gave the Class of '79, we Juniors don't think they turned out all bad. 64
