You've Come A The 74-75 Volleyball season opened with 27 girls participating. Coaching us was Mr. Kopp. At the end of the season we had tallied 5 wins and 5 losses. Something new was added this year. At the end of the season, a tournament, open to the public was held in the high school gym. Those participating were the volleyball-ers, Jr. boys, Sr. boys, and faculty. Winning the first place honors were the volleyball girls. 6

Bancroft earned the spot by finishing a 16-7 season with impressive wins in the District Tourney over Logan View, Scribner, and West Point, a big win in the Playoffs over Laurel, and a heartbreak overtime loss to Friend in the State Tournament. The Bulldogs had its ups and downs during the year. After playing good basketball in the first round of the West Point Tourney Bancroft was outplayed by West Point in the championship game. In the LV C Tourney Bancroft again played good ball in the first and second round but lost a disappointing game to their rivals from Rosalie. The individual leaders for the hustling Bulldogs are: Captains and Most Valuable Players Doak Wegner and Mick Samuelson; leading rebounder-Mick S.; assist leader-Doak Wegner; best field goal %-Mick S.; best free throw %-Doak W.; and leading scorer-Doak W. The B-Team finished 10-4 for the season and 3rd in the Decatur Tournament. The Freshmen Team took 1st place in the Pender Invitational.
