DEDICATION We, the Annual Staff of 1971 Dedicate This Annual to We dedicate this annual to Mr. Echtenkamp, a former teacher and superintendent at Bancroft Public School. We remember him for all his hard work and seventeen years of dedication to our school. Presently he is Business Manager and Placement Director of Northeast Nebraska Technical College at Norfolk, Nebraska. MR . KENNETH J . ECHTENKAMP We dedicate this annual to Jorge Beraun, an exchange student from Huancayo, Peru. He spent the 1970-71 school year with us at Bancroft High School. Jorge's reason for coming to the United States was to learn our language and study our customs. He has enriched the lives of the students by giving them first hand information on his country. He plans to attend the University of North Dakota next fall and major in language.

THIRD ROW: Rock Sorensen, Mark Carey, Doug Doht, Dave Soil, Ralph Newell, Fred Bassett, Lonnie Leitow, Jeff Bring, Chris Copple, Gaylin Elssasser. BACK ROW: Mark Nietz, Duane Tietz, Larry Lill, Jack Waite, Todd Simonsen, Bob Roth, Delmar Soli, Glen Rodick, Dan Marr. The Bancroft Bulldogs completed one of their most successful seasons in recent history. The Bulldogs held a 7-1 season losing only to class C Homer. Hard work and team spirit paid off in many ways. Included was a Homecoming victory, and state wide recognition. The Bulldogs were rated sixth in the state by the Lincoln Journal, and seventh by the Omaha World Herald. The biggest thrill came on October 22nd, when the Bulldogs invaded Winnebago, and walked away with the Logan Valley Conference Championship. It was a great day for the team, the school, and all the fans that stuck with the team through some dry years.
