MUSICAL SPOTLIGHT Brass Sextet: Joe Sorensen, Larry Abendroth, David Macklin, Rodney Schultz, Bobbi Copple, Larry Van Kirk. Trombone Trio: Larry Abendroth, Joe Sorensen, Gerald Kubik. Mixed Quartet: Larry Van Kirk, Bobbi Copple, Sally Lutjen, Rodney Schultz. Flute Trio: Sharon Zwy-eart, Jan Sorensen, Connie Lutjen. The high point of the musical year took place at the Wayne State College. Many people participated in tiie musical activities and the achievements were outstanding. Out of seventeen entries we had ten superiors, five excellents, and two good ratings. Joe Sorensen, Sally Lutjen, David Macklin, Trombone Trio, Dirty Dozen, Girls Trio, Mixed Quartet, Madrigal, Band, and Chorus were awarded with superior ratings. The following people received excellent ratings: Brass Sextet, Mary Lou Vogt, Flute Trio, Gerald Kubik, and Girls Glee. Christy Johnson and Girls Sextet received good ratings. There were six soloists: Joe Sorensen, Christy Johnson, Sally Lutjen, David Macklin, Mary Lou Vogt, and Gerald Kubik. With all of us pushing hard, our musical year was a big success. 13
