April 14 was the date of the Senior Class Play. It was a mystery farce in three acts and a great success with the help of our director, Mr. Urwiler, and three capable stage hands. Butch Kai, Bill Cook, and Arlan Rodick. Carol Calloway (Sherry Dixon) didn't know what to do with a family of eccentrics. Sister lone (Mary Leimer) had gone wild over psychiatry. Little brother Sid (Paul Anderson) was crazy about gangsters. Aunt Eunice (Glenda Gatrost) was a push-over for phony mediums. The jittery maid Allie Katz (Judy Lutjen) and the lisping Dicky Bird (Don Schnier) won screams of laughter. Other characters included Miner Hawkwood (Bob Zobel), the mournful caretaker; his humpbacked nephew Benjy (Glen Simonsen); Rex Rosner (Maurice Grone), a young plastic surgeon; Clemuel McClatchin (Lyle Paulsen), an eerie undertaker; and Gerda Ravenstein (Dianne Canarsky), the runaway maniac. 14
