Fullback Donald Dietz shows good form during practice. Dick Cain finds running room against Montgomery. Pass to Bob Rakowski gains yardage against Wesley. The Red Devil Football squad under the capable leadership of Head Coach Defassio, Line Coach Walter Majchrzak and Back- field Coach Willard Leach, completed their season with a record of two victories and five losses. The first win was over Wood- ward School as the team romped to the score of 39 to 0. The second victory the Red Devils controlled the ball through most of the game with Vernon Pearl run- ning 50 yards in the final three minutes of play making the score 6 to 0 against Bainbridge. On the other side of the ledger, the team dropped their opener to Chowan College. Other losses came when BJC lost their games to Western Maryland, johns Hop- kins, Wesley Junior College, and Mont- gomery Junior College. V The Linemen of the .Yearfwere tackles Raymond Brookhart and Norman Green- spun. Coach Willard Leach voted rookie halfback Ed Crew the Back of the Year. All three coaches agreed that Ed Crew was the Outstanding Player of the Year.
