CLASS PROPHECY SputnIck No I3 leavlng from BaltIc test grounds All aboard for outerspace We boarded the spaceshup and fastened our oxygen tank securely In place thIs was our furst space expedItIon As we passed through the TIFST cloud and were dlrectly over the UnIted States we saw a great regIment of men In com mand of thus regIment we saw none other than GARY BERGER We later learned that he was one of the greatest commanders space had ever known As we approached HawaII we looked down and there we beheld on the sands of WakIkI Beach a resort for foreIgn am bassadors Much to our amazement we beheld as hostess at a dInner party a member of the class of 58 CAROL BRINK Next we found ourselves dlrectly above MIdway Island We observed a great ba nana plantatlon there was a man gIvIng orders to the workers We notIced that the mar' was dressed In a whlte Iacket and bermuda shorts Much to our surprIse he was arI acquanntance of ours We remem bered hIm as JAMES BURGER As our spaceshup traveled on In the star Island of Guam Here we landed our space shlp to stock up on supplles for our further lourney As we roamed down the streets of Guam on ouI shoppIng tour we ap proached a small dress shop We Inqulred to see the manager whIch proved to be none other than GEORGINIA FISHER In the evenIno we turned to our space shIp for further adventures On our way back we passed dlrectly by the largest nIght club In Guam As we peered through the open door we heard the beautIful sound of the Symphonlc Orchestra The audlence began to applaud as the sololst for the evenIng was Introduced Thls face proved to be of our acquaIntance and we recognIzed her s NANCY HENDERSHOT We now contInued on and boarded our spaceshlp once more Soon we were back In our orblt As we approached the PhIl llpplne Islands we found ourselves dIrectly above the cIty of Manulla We notIced one of the large style centers of the Island where all the beautIful glrls from the style center were lIned up to model the latest fashIons The haIr stylIst of the cen ter approached As her face came more clearly Into vIew we knew rIght away It was JANET HUPRICH As we traveled on our lourney we came upon Japan When we were above the cIty of Tokyo we notIced many large busIness fIrms among whIch was the larg est that of ChIng Kongs SIlk Company We notIced behlnd the executIve desk the form of one of Baltlcs well lIked graduates of Baltlc Hugh As hIs form came clearly Into VIEW It became that of RONALD HUPRICH We now contInued on our Iourney to the CITY of Hong Kong There we decIded to land and take a look around As we explored the Clly we saw a large unuver sxty We decIded to take a look around In svle As we toured we came to the EnglIsh department of the UnIversIty We learned that the head of the EnglIsh department was one of the former students of BaltIc Hrgh School and a graduate of the Class of I 958 KATHERINE WALLACE We now went back to our space shlp and blasted off agaIn We were now travel Ing on the thlrd stage of our rocket whIch propelled SputnIck No I3 We were ad vancIng to a much hlgher altltude and as we approached the planet of Mars we saw a great cloud of dust A the aIr cleared we observed a drag race the to be two Amerlcan type cars leadIng In the race As they approached the home stretch they went breezlng by us and we recognuzed hem as the two greatest race drlvers of the UnIted States They were MARCUS OTT and CLARENCE KANDEL As we traveled on our Ioudney we came upon the beautIful lIttle counlry of SwItzerland Much to our amazement we could hear the sound of saws and ham mers Just then the haze cleared and a large factory came INTO VIEW We notIced that thls was the place where the famous carpenters carrIed on theIr bUSIneSS I the center of the factory were the cedar mIlls Much to our SUFPFISS behund the desk of the executuve sat a well known personalIty from our home town LARRY LADRACH As SputnIck contInued In IIS orbIt we found ourselves above the Clly of Rome Italy The smell of delIcIous food from one of the swanky restaurants made our mouths faIrly water As we looked on we were amazed to see that the honored guest was the PresIdent of the UnIted States and seated wIth hIm was the manager of thIs restaurant As her face became clear we remembered her as a member of the class of l958 BETTY LOU LEVENGOOD . - , ' , . , .
