The earth was covered with diamonds, All glittering under the moon I revelled at the happy thought, That I would be out there soon. Then on my window fell a crystal, The whitest, prettiest thing in the world. I pictured more than a hundred thoughts, As the depths of my mind unfurled. What could make a person gladder, Than to see this beautiful sight? Especially when one views this image, Under the moon on a starry night. The year 'it saw very successful Spirit and Winsweek a good supportive spice salegffl - plenty of entertainment and two fabulous dances. The list goes on and on impressive one it is! The executive council, one of the best councils ever, has worked very hard all year in a successful attempt to make .a fun school year. I would like to thank every student who helped out at school events and would like to congratulate the executive council on a job well done --to coin a phrase. It has been a super year, one that all executive members can recall with pride. Good luck to next years' Head Girl and her council. Although these tasks were both difficult at times, the results were very rewarding. I would like to say a very special thanks to Mrs. Law, for all the knowledge and support that she has given me, and also, a special thanks to those on the library committee. Together we've made this year a special one for me, and hopefully for you too. Lots of luck, Maria Library Committee .4 TT 2nd Row - N. Cipryk, J. Antoniuk, J. Ellis, J. Myers, S. We started our practises at lunchtime in September, and the two performances were held in March. Everyone had so much fun putting it all together, that memorizing our lines was not all that bad. I'm sure that it was something we will always remember. Thanks, to Mr. G , our director, without whom we never could have done it. 'WI Resldence Message from the Head of Residence This year in residence was definitely an experience for all. We had a new Dean of Residence, Miss McKenna, plus eighteen new boar- ders. Needless to say there were many adjustments to be made in accordance with new rules and regulations from the powers above. Once everything settled down we were able to sit back and have some fun! Our basic initiative this year was to make residence a happy place to be fa home away from homel. With the help of the residence council and the support of the boarders we were able to have Halloween parties, Christmas parties, pajama breakfasts, pancake breakfasts with the teachers, video nights, spirit weeks fthe memorable pudding feeding contestsj, and residencelday-girl sleepover in residence. In residence a new thing happens every day - a new day, a new experience - most importantly as boarders we learn how to live together, become friends and we learn un- derstanding. As head girl of residence, although a difficult job, has not only been a worthwhile experience, but a learning experience for me. Good luck to all, Susan Residence Council ...Tix 2nd Row - K. By entering and placing in as many events as possible, our athletes managed to earn points for their houses, but the main objective was to have as much fun as possible! Old track and field records were broken and new records re- placed them. This year she was our class president and last year Kathleen was the yearbook editor and an executive on the grade committee. Kathleen had her own U of M privilege card this year and always went there to study. On these visits Umzoo was a frequent stop. Kathleen lives by the daily happenings in Pine Valley and loves Tad Martin. Another one of the Pepper's girls, Kathleen went there to cool off. In grade ll she established a record for the biggest party in the shortest time span. Her favorite class this year was calculus and Kathleen excelled in it! Kathleen spent nine years as a part of BH and enjoyed English each year - let's have another Hamlet test! Kathleen's eighteenth was a smashing success and we'll never forget the G and the shock on our faces. She danced the day away at Arts BB's in lieu of going on ski weekend. Good luck studying commerce at the U. of M., and waiting around the science buildings. Catchy yourself a doctor Kathleen and let's meet at Umzoo! Ursula Batchelar , Urs came to tts in grade 7 and has enjoyed BH life for six years, but why such a short stay on the honor roll Urs? A major part of Ursula's grade 11 and 12 years included a white and black Mustang and of course the driver. She too had her own U. of M., privilege card and the BB's gave her great pleasure however, Ursula always ran away from a certain BP with blue glasses and pink runners. Ursula is the third Pepper's girls and went there every weekend. Ursual will never live down l think Pm going to stay home tonight and what a party she missed! Ursuia suffers from frequent blackouts and doesn't remember asking her date to grad. She too had a favorite class this year and it was Chem., and she loved having a test a day! Mrs. Baillie and Ursula developed a good rapport over the years but Urs stil! doesn't know how to write a 3. Don't ever forget the car rally and finding the biggest package. In grade ll Urs gave Mrs. Robertson joy and pleasure and Urs has always enjoyed phys. ed. Have fun in arts at the U. of M., next year and study your heart out for Mr. Right! Kathleen, Ursula, Kristine, Jill fig, i l 5 - 5 l 5 Kristine Corbett joined the B.H. family in grade 9, from the booming metropolitan trading post of The Pas. A member of the elite residence, Kris will always be remembered for her collapsing chest, anti-hanger campaign, and for her love of SJR dances. We could always count on Kris for a detailed report on the content of dinner, thanks to her job as lab assistant. One of the few overagerssin res Kris was always in demand on weekends. She played soccer with unequalled dedication and skiil CT-lead the ball, girisul and could often still pig-out! An excellent swimmer we suspect she is part eel, Kris usually won most of her events in our annual swim meets, to the glory of the yellow bird, as well as pass her National Lifeguard. Next year Kris will be taking her green cardigan away to UBC where she will study engineering thopefully with as much dedication as her Physics this yearj. Good luck and start looking: only four years till grad.'Love ya! Jill Munro Jill came to BH in grade I0 and the school still hasn't recovered. In grade ll Jill was an executive on the grad committee and a real troublemaker! J ill is known for her many boyfriends - a new one each monthg however Jill's heart remains with a Mustang. Chem students will never forget Jill's other side. ln grade l0 Jill loved Bio tests so much she had to have one of her own. Jill is a reckless driver and her Jill's favorite class and she always managed to miss due to a nose bleed. Jill's name is engraved in the St. Paul's parking lot for some strange reason. Jill enjoyed her three years at BH very much and her classmates enjoyed having Jill's loud voice around. Good luck with the B from U and enjoy social work at the University of Victoria. Cheers, Jill, we're going to miss you! The six million dollar man proved to be a major part of Jill's grade 12 year. English was' is . chocolate was a great idea!!! Over the year, Susan's T-Bird has lost a few parts. What fqtnttch longer can Susan go on before her father cancels her Visa Card? Susan will go in search of her Mel one day thopefully before Gradl. But after ve. Good times fast times Always. What happened to Balmorai Hall this year...? Jennifer Myers. Jen was met by a welcoming committee on the Love Boatg she then set sail for a year of fun, love and excitement. As a new girl she quickly learned the rules of BH... then she broke them! Of course Jen fit in perfectly. Jen-Jen has her own life size Ken-doll, she may never have to change the initials on her luggage QJMJ. Jen held the apres winter fun day. Pink Lemonade is her specialty - what a mess! She was an active member in school sports. Her memorable participation in a couple of games fwell, maybe onel wilt never be forgotten. Shortly, everyone made their way to their assigned table and following a toast to the graduates, supper was served, consisting of Caesar salad, chicken Kiev, chocolate mousse for dessert, and red wine. The grads, the grade elevens and tens and their escorts then attended the after party , held at the home of Geills Andison. A champagne breakfast was served by Joann Antoniuk that morning. The lake party for the grads was held the next night at Ashleigh Banfield's cabin.
