Enarh nf CEnuernnrz 4' , 7- - ,L It is a distinct pleasure to visit the school and see the new facilities being used so well. The library, multi-purpose room, extra classrooms and general office area have become a part of the whole - a complex of which we can be truly proud. This year we have new people on our Board of Governors. New faces: new ideas and new thoughts for the future. This year I shall end my term as Chairman of the Board. It has been a privilege to serve as the titular head of a growing, vibrant institution and I can look back with tremendous satisfaction on what has been accomplished over the last few years. Those of you who graduate this year have also accomplished a great deal. Hold your heads high as you start a new chapter in your life and may all your future dreams come true. Good luck, John D. Shanski Chairman of the Board

E-Irztthmttiatierh illlemaage Last year we suffered the agonies of develoment and changeg this year we reap the benefits. In some ways the 1980! 81' school year heralds a new chapter in the illustrious history of our school. The students who currently attend the school are the rich benefactors of years of planning, discussion and decision, which culminated in the construction of the 'new look' Balmoral Hall. For all of us the development has proven to be something special and has given the school a tremendous 'uplift'. How lucky we are! As well as physical change, this school year we have seen other changes which really indicate our strong position as one of the leading independant schools in Canada - a school exclusively for girls. Enrollment has reached an all-time high. In grades 6, 7 and 8 we have two classes, and our Nursery class has reopened. I cannot remember a year when the enthusiasm and excitement on opening day was so obvious. This high has continued throughout the year, resulting in im- pressive standards of achievement in every facet of school life and thus the chapter must record positive things. As the Chairman of the Board put it one day Things are going so well it scares me! I don't think I shall ever forget the visit of the two fine young men each with an obvious disability. They were an inspiration to us all. I shall always remember Mrs. Honey's expression when I asked her to arrange for some coffee and cookies to be served in my office after they had toured the school. However will the young man without arms cope? she exclaimed. Let me tell you he coped all right and was very confident in removing his shoe and sock and handled cup, saucer and cookie without spilling a drop or dropping a crumb. However, I think something rubbed off on us all and none of us should feel sorry for ourselves again. For me it was a highlight of tremendous significance in the Year of the Disabled . I truly believe the school's future is bright and we have a great deal for which to be thankful. To the graduates I express my sincere best wishes for the future. I urge you to establish some personal goals , set your mind to what you want to do and keep on track. God bless you all! N.T. Russell Headmaster.
