l In il ilihitnrial Our editor?!?! ii liz. All the reports are in, the pages completed, and now it is my turn. What can I say? It has been a trying year, and not a group of people realize this more than the yearbook staff. I would like to take this op- portunity to thank a select few. To begin with, my little helpers, especially the ones who stayed so late to put this yearbook together for you, Mrs. Sharpe, my yearbook advisor, and all my photographers, for without you this yearbook would be pictureless. Every year the yearbook is dedicated to someone, or something, and part of my job as editor is to decide to whom or what this edition of Optima Anni shall be dedicated to. After much thought I have decided that to dedicate it to the graduating class would be nice, but it has been done before, the student body, well, this is for you, but not exactly what I had in mind, and finally it came to me. This year's yearbook is dedicated to the good times we have shared, the old glass passage-way, the day the grade twelves wore long underwear to our Friday Assembly, Junior School dressing for an arctic blizzard just to join us, and the heat turned off, and the clothes piled on. In short, Optima Anni '80 is dedicated to memories. Here is to you, hoping that this book will bring back great memories of a great time together. My best to all of you, Sue Graham Editor

3l'I2zthmazter'z ilhzpnrt Your editor has just forcefully told me that my report is required by December lst - so I must do as I am told. Here goes!! I sincerely hope that by the time this edition of Optima Anni is ready for printing we shall all be enjoying the new facilities. The new Library, multi- purpose room, added classrooms and main foyer will indeed add a great deal to our school. More than anything else it will give us a focal point and allow for better communication and flow' ' all around. We are truly fortunate to have a Board of Governors with a progressive outlook. They are l dedicated to the development of our school to make y it the best of its kind in Canada. In my estimation we are already a front runner. Our balanced programmes of study allow a girl to develop to her full potential and we are as an extended family a group of people fa communityj conscientiously dedicated to a common purpose. I am confident you will all enjoy this year of growth and equally confident that in years to come you will open this book and be reminded of happy times and good school days.
