1 wh Girl auth Svtltnnl Captain At long last the end of 1979 has come and Balmoral Hall is confronting 1980 with great vigour and enthusiasm. A fine example of this energy is our yearbook editor who seems to have a way with idle threats. Well here's our report Susan, on the year that Optima Anni '80 is all about. This year has been one of change for the student council. It has a new Chairperson and it now func- tions in accordance with the constitution drafted by the executive council and completed by the student council. We have tried to stress over all support and in- volvement in our extracurricular activities. These two very important aspects of school spirit were achieved in the first term by such events as Shinerama, B.I.D., a Hallowe'en Extravaganza, a teacher-student volleyball game and a roller-skating party. 1980 promises more fun with such events as a Successful dance with the PUMPS, a winter carnival and another roller-skating party. 1979-80 has been B.H. in its highest spirits ever. Not only is this tremendous enthusiasm due to the events planned by the student council, but it is also due to the students who participated in these events. The old saying, You only get out of things what you put into them , most definitely applies to this school year. We would like to thank you, the student body, for making this one of the best years that B.H. has ever had. We would also like to extend a special thanks to our second family, the executive council. By fulfilling their duties, they made our jobs less strenuous and much more pleasant to carry out. We couldn't forget the Student Council. Thanks guys, you were a great group to work with. . Well, as chairpersons of the Executive and Student Councils, we thank you for making this a fabulous year for us and as Graduates we warn you the class of '80 will be back. All our love, and Best Wishes for the years to come, Ed and Marilyn.
