A ' l I 4 t f fl A, ' an 1 U'-Jr t Pictured above is the open court in its early stages of development It is completely surrounded by the Junior Senior High School building When it is completed it will be attractively landscaped with shade trees shrubs and flowers Benches will also be set up in the court for the convenience of the tea chers and pupils When weather permits this court can be used as a cross cut between the two wings This is only one of the many outstanding areas of construction on the school premises This is one of the six large corridors connecting the various sections of the Junior-Senior High School. These corridors are well lighted and have an attractive color scheme throughout the building. Bulletin boards along the corridors announce the coming of important events and activities of the school. D - 'S' The chemistry and physics lab is installed with the latest modern equipment Each student table is equipped with gas hot and cold water and bars on which to erect pulleys The table tops are composed of heat proof material to guard against the possibility of fire Another piece of apparatus in the lab is the hood in which gases are prepared There is also a demonstration table similiar to that of the students for instruction purposes The Biology lab has a fifty gallon aquarium and a germinating bed A store room connects these two labs ip., ,...,sg Here is a woman's dream come true. It's the kitchen of the year complete with gas oven, refrig- erator, sink, cupboards, work space, and breakfast set. There are six sets of these kitchens in the home economics rooms. Other equipment in the two rooms includes: freezer, electric ovens, wall oven, auto- matic washer and dryer, surface range, and six sewing machines. The department also has a complete set of Syracuse China for a service of 12. One of the rooms has a green color scheme and the other blue. The spacious library has .1 seating capacity of 72 A small glass lnclosed room within the library is called the conference room It is available for students who wish to work together without disturbing anyone else The library also contains a work room for the llbrarxan complete with desk sink files and table The green and yellow walls of the library are set off by the attractive draperies of varigated brown This color combination makes the room a very pleasant place to work Pictured above is a typical classroom in the new building. Most of these rooms have a seating capacity of 35. Each room contains a loud speaker and is also equipped with an intercom phone system. The rooms are very well lighted for they receive light from both the fluorescent lights and the sun as one wall of each classroom is almost completely glass. Each room has an eye catching color scheme. Pwnc 105 14,49 if Mrs William Keister our chief cook, heads the kitchen staff which includes Mrs Herbert Mor rell Mrs William KICSRI and Mrs Marvin Chambers The equipment within the kitchen is sufficient to adequately serve the student body at the present time and in the forseeable future Most of the equipment is made of stainless steel The kitchen is also equipped with an office of its own as well as a store room area Some of the appliances in the kitchen are a walk in cooler a deep freeze soup kettle mixer sli cer masher steam table refrigerator and ice cream cabinets L..lF This room is the third largest in the building, seating 268 students. There are two serving lines to speed up the serving time. The cafeteria is also used as a study hall for Junior High students. This is one of the many money saving devices employed in the school. The two longest sides of the cafeteria are almost completely glass. The scenery and sunshine seen from these windows makes it a very cheerful place in which to eat.
