You all remember Neil Well, he now has a roadside stand teaching the younger set How to Make An Easy Dollar in Two Short Lessons . Carl Waldron helps increase business by sitting in the front of the stand and playing that olden day jazz of 1950 on a piano. We continue down the highway to our fair city and we see Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Brunei I Mrs. Brunei I is the former Virginia Capasso. They are proprietors of a combination tavern and spaghetti house. Gaylord serves with a smile, and Virginia cooks . . mostly just cooks. We are now approaching a large dairy farm, just on the outskirts of Education City. You probably remember Charles Thomas and Bill Kelley. Their farm is named Profit Making Brothers . They are both after the same girl again This time she is Marilyn Taber, who has changed her name to Madam DeMeaur She reads palms in the corner of Taber's Dairy. Constance Meshowski helps out when Madam is very busy. On the next corner we see a new type of drug store, which is owned by Dorothy Shaw. Her famous advertising slogan is Shaw's Silent Sedative, a sure cure-all . We'll have to stop in and try some. As we enter the shop,, we see Maura Stinson violently making sundaes for the rush customers. We stop next at a news stand for a paper, published by the Robert Grose Syndicate While we are there, we submit to a shoe shine from Bernard Tiffault. He and Carroll Streever are still trying to earn enough money to enter Harvard University. They wish to become Doctors of Sociology. The year is now 1980. As we read the paper, we see flash headlines that Mary Rougie, who is now Silver Belle , and Claire Brien, who is Just Plain Mistletoe , are leading models. It was a long climb, but they made it. We also see that Mary Ann Burke and Marguerite Simone are on the stage They are in some sort of opera where they do a dance routine for the elite of this metropolis. As we walk along the sidewalks, which bear the inscription Teppo, Crooks, and Merchant, Best Construction , we pass Big Jim's Funeral Home. Jimmy Namack now operates his own establishment, and has the Gray twins as pall-bearers. His most recent customers were Mr. and Mrs. Cramer. You must remembei Terry Ruane and Edward Cramer. They were a lovely couple . . . always meant for each other. It was too bad. You see, she couldn't stand his dry humor, and he didn't like the sound of her clarinet. They jumped off the Blue Mill Bridge together. The next establishment we pass is DuBois and Nauman, Trust Company . They have Merritt Westfall as their trustworthy accountant, and Harriet Wolfe as their head secretary. Fred Champagne is now a popular star of screen and television. The 23 girls go wild over his romantic acting Dick Voehringer is trying to compete with him, but the attempt is in vain. I guess Dick will have to stick with the Broadway plays. Some say that he is the greatest Shakespearean actor of all time. We now proceed on to the Capitol, where our chief executive is, yes, that's right, John Campbell. As we are taken on a tour of the building, we become reacquainted with our old friends Daryle Barchard and William Humiston, who are our guides We then come in contact with the elevator boy, Chee Chee DeChants. He is married to that girl in the Junior Class, and we've heard that there are a lot of little Chee Chee's running around We go now into the library of the Capitol building, where we find Elizabeth King as chief librarian, with Marie Pastore and Alice Lewis as her assistants. Coming out of the Capitol building, we are stopped by a policewoman who turns out to be none other than Marie Penrose. A new detective agency has just opened up, and the chief detectives are Wilda Wilson, Betty Noyes, and Shirley Allard. It seems that they have already tracked down an international spy. They use Francelia Allen's high voice in place of a whistle. It saves on money. George Barnes is now owner of the Grand Union and chief competitor of Annette Ravena, who is the owner of the A and P. They have a tough time trying to make more money than each other. Ruth Herrington owns what used to be called Stewart's Ice Cream She calls it Herrington's Hash House . Nancy Smith is married, but also acts as hostess at the Milton Terrace Airport. The main pilots up there are George Coon, Don Deyo, and Bill Newhouse, who does illustration work for the leading magazines in his spare time. Well-known lady novelist, Joan Sutfin, has recently finished her latest contribution to culture. It is entitled What I Liked About Being Class Secretary for Three Years . The critics claim that it is quite a book. Ralph Edmonds, the city's wealthiest bachelor, has recently popped the question to socialite Evelyn Yager, but there is a slight bit of complication. It seems that she is already engaged to some fellow named Art. Irene Graf is doing well as the private secretary of Mr Bartholdi, who has been writing books on child psychology and his interpretations of Einstein's theories. As we go back to the airport to leave our city, we find two sad-eyed girls waiting for their lovers to return. Upon closer observation, they turn out to be Joan Saunders and Eileen Atkins. Their boy friends went up in a jet plane, saying that they were off for the moon. Louise Jennings, our pilot, now helps us back into our supersonic mode of transportation and we leave Education City to itself. 24 NAME Louise Jennings William Kelley Elizabeth King Alice Lewis Donna Loomis Robert Merchant Constance Meshowski James Namack Austin Nauman William Newhouse Betty Noyes Marie Pastore Marie Penrose Annette Ravena Mary Rougie Terese Ruane Joan Saunders Dorothy Shaw Marguerite Simone Nancy Smith Maura Stinson Carroll Streever Joan Sutfin Marilyn Taber Mitchell Teppo Charles Thomas Bernard Tif fault Shirley Allard Francelia Allen Eileen Atkins Daryle Barchard Georqe Barnes Claire Brien Neil Brown Gaylord Brunell Mary Ann Burke John Campbell Virginia Capasso Fred Champagne George Coon Edward Cramer Robert Crooks Richard Dechants Donald Deyo David DuBois Ralph Edmonds Irene Graf Janet Gray Jean Gray Robert Grose Ruth Herrington Sylvia Hudson William Humiston Lillian Uline Richard Voehringer Carl Waldron Merritt Westfall Wilda Wilson Harriet Wolfe Evelyn Yager e$t$ AMBITION PET PEEVE One full day of sleeping Banking Doctor Plays Stenographer Banking Secretary Band Practice Housewife Homework To own the dairy Early Rising One Sr. boy The habit of rising early Wolf No. 1 Homework To Grow His Height Career in Art Not doing art Mrs. J. Ber-nie Tiffault, Neil Brown, Robert Grose, Irene Graf, Charles Thomas, and Carl Waldron are a few who have been prominent in extracurricular activities. Many of our members have been active in sports. John Campbell, Charles Thomas, William Kelley, Donald Deyo, Robert Grose, James Namack, and Carrol Streever participated in basketball. Football was graced by the presence of Gaylord Brunell, John Campbell, Donald Deyo, Robert Grose, Charles Thomas, and Bernard Tiffault. Charles Thomas, John Campbell, Bernard Tiffault, William Kelley, and Robert Grose represented our class on the baseball team. The girls of our class organized a bowling team sponsored by Miss Dovas. One accomplishment of which the members of our class are especially proud are the class rings which carry the crest with a picture of the high school. Many of our class were in musical activities, some going to the Siena College Band Clinic and to various All-State musical organizations. Richard Voeh-ringer has done an excellent job as editor of our school paper, The Buzzer , while George Coon has done equally well as President of the Service Club. Our Senior Play was Seven Keys to Baldpate and was directed by Mrs. Marino, with Mr Rock doing the make-up work Elliott Weinstein, a Junior, deserves a lot of credit for his performance after taking over a role at the last moment. Seniors in the cast were Ralph Edmonds, Mary Ann Burke, Richard Voeh-ringer, William Newhouse, Marilyn Taber, Constance Meshowski, William Kelley, Marguerite Simone, George Coon, James Namack, Neil Brown, Carl Waldron, and John Campbell. A South Sea Island was the theme for our Junior Prom. The gym was appropriately decorated with very realistic looking cardboard palm trees, exotic flowers, a moon, and a bamboo hut Mr Rock put in a lot of hard work on the decorations and was our constant guide and helping hand During our year as Seniors, the Chamber of Commerce sponsored the first Youth Government Day of the village Seniors elected by the student body to participate in running the village were Neil Brown, Robert Grose, Bernard Tiffault, Charles Thomas, Jean Gray, Richard Voehringer, Donald Deyo, William Kelley, and John Campbell On our trip to Washington, we visited many places of historic interest which can never be forgotten. Evry Senior who made the trip had a wonderful time After graduation this June, each one of us will go our separate ways, but none of us will ever forget our days at Ballston Spa High School and all the fun we had there. 26 1.
