ctlCasuC ’TftenuvU t ScA ot l olu HC 5 This is our story. It is the story of the many events which have highlighted the year, 1956-57. Now the end of the school year is near. The thoughts of summer vacation send happy echoes resounding through the halls of Ballard Memorial High School. Some of us will walk through these doors for the last time, never to return. Some of us will be happy, some will he sad; others will look toward the future with uncertainty, hut most of us are prepared to face that future honestly and confidently. This building is a symbol of man’s thirst and quest for truth and knowledge. As you go through the door pause a moment to look backward and view the majesty of the building. Give it a smile and a “Thank You” as you go on your way. BETTY TABOR Editor-in-Chief Betty Tabor Gene Howie Buddy Estes Betty Sue Talley Clyde Stevens Margaret Hausman Joyce Robertson Mary Allen Wilma Rage Buddy Church Bob Frey Mary Etta Fleming Suzanne Owens Mrs. Page Junior and Sports Business Staff Typist and Clubs Art and Photographer Advertising Staff Congratulations to you upon having successfully reached another milestone in your life. When you entered as freshmen four years ago, your number was much larger. Many of your original group have dropped by the wayside, but because you have kept your eye on the goal and have been faithful, you are soon to join that select group of high school graduates in America. You are now standing on the threshold of a new world. This new world will have no boundaries other than those you choose to give it. The limits of your new world will be determined by your imagination and by your desire to learn what lies just beyond your horizon. Not because of custom, but because 1 sincerely feel that you have reached a worthy goal, I want to commend you and to wish for each of you a happy and prosperous life. W. F. McGary Our successes have been many and we have shared reverses together. One of the greatest lessons to be learned in school is how to accept gracefully our moments of success and defeat. A happy, well adjusted individual must have learned this lesson well. The 1956-57 Senior Class has contributed much to our school. We regret to see you go, hut heartily congratulate you upon completion of this most important leg of your journey. We appreciate your loyalty, your cooperative spirit, and your contribution to B. M. H. S. Richard L. Winebarger We feel that B. M. H. S. has now cut its eye teeth and is rapidly developing into one of the finest high schools in the state. Additional facilities will soon be available making it possible to enrich our program even more. As our customs, traditions, and successes multiply, the loyalty and general morale of all those connected with our school will increase proportionally.
