During her four years at BMHS, many students have gone to her for advice, and we have always found her willing to help us in every way. It is good to know that there is a kindred soul to whom we can confide our troubles, scholastic and otherwise. Congratulations to the Class of 1956! You were the first Freshman class of Ballard Memorial, and you will be the fourth to graduate at Ballard Memorial. Since you began your high school experience with the beginning of your Alma Mater, you do not have that feeling of divided loyalty and sentiment which perhaps the three preceding classes had. This distinction should give you a singular pride in both your class and in your school. I trust that Ballard Memorial has created in each of you a sentiment and a deep respect for her ideals and her traditions. For the true worth of any school depends upon the love and sentiment it creates in the graduates for its ideals and traditions. Ballard Memorial will need you after you graduate.
