The Senior Class of 1963 __ Foreword This book is not an attempt to wave the flag, to provide a record for historians, to establish a citation for heroes, or to incite applause from nations. It is rather a personal review to emphasize the allegiance we owe to those who have captured and held for us the American Heritage. Our fundamental beliefs rest on justice and humanity, and these beliefs are perpetuated to the degree that the patriotic enlarge andenrich this heritage of citizenship, education, and righteousness. The poignancy of a prosperous and democratic future is ordained in the sincerity and trust with which we say in these pages This I Believe.
