Not even the man himself realized the role that he was to play in the educational future of many Macon- ites, nor the extent to which he would influence their lives. Because of the dynamic way in which he has served and the good that he has done for many people, we dedicate the 1960 TIGER to Principal R. J. Martin and to all of the graduates of the Ballard-Hudson Senior High School. Mr. Martin, a native of Mobile, Alabama, received the Bachelor of Sci- ence degree from Talladega College, Talladega, Alabama; the Master of Arts degree from Fisk University, Nashville, Tennessee and did further study at Columbia University and the University of Oklahoma.
