The faculty members of Ballard High have guided the student body in an effort to prepare them to accept future responsibilities and to understand the world of today. Besides the many hours spent concerning school work, the faculty members are active in civic, com- munity, church, and youth organizations. For their guidance and encouragement we wish to express our appreciation to the faculty of Ballard, and to acquaint you with them in this section. As Principal of Ballard High, Mr. Aaron Van Devanter has now completed his second suc- cessful year of service. In this time he has been friend and counselor to many a student. This industrious and understanding man spends many hours on tasks which are some- times tedious. Vlleighty decisions rest on his shoulders and along with these he takes time out to talk with student and teacher alike concerning problems, however minor they may be. He is the leader of our school and always strives to do that which is best for all. 'U Nlr. Pete Schneller is our new Vice-Principal this year. Although he is new in the roll of vicefprincipal, he is no stranger to the stu- dents of Ballard High. Previous to this year, he held the position of guidance counselor. This friendly and approachable man has turned the steps of many students in the right direction. His iob, too, is involved and the tasks sometimes tedious. Nlr. Schneller works in connection with the principal and faculty for the betterment of our school.
