Past, Present, and Future In this global age, students must have an understanding of the historic background of all nations as well as a thorough knowledge of modern trends. For Northwest students this requires not only a familiarity with European history, but a more intimate knowledge of our neighbors to the South and those of the entire Pacific Rim. With this insight future citizens are better equipped to meet political, economic, and social problems with intelligence. 'l'o keep upeto-date on the daily progress of the 'iNlilI'L'll to Berlin.
