Eacl1 year more and more peo- ple come to Ball State to hegin their college careers. Tl1is fall when classes began, over 8400 students were registered. Even with its i11- creasing enrollnient, Ball State is still uthe friendly campus. New students are lllilflfj to feel at home front the first niolnent they arrive on campus. Almost im- inediately the activities of a school year go i11to full swing. Every effort is made to give stu- dents an opportunity to get to know the l1l6l11b61'S of tl1e faculty and ad- ministration as well as tl1e other students around t11en1. Through this concern for the in- dividual, each student feels that he is IN TOUCH with Ball State.

i as Neff' Clowns add fun to Sigma Chi-Sigma Tri Fish Fry. Students break tor a friendly smolce between classes. The Ball State picture is one of Warmth a11d friendliness. Students and faculty members exchange greetings and ideas as they pass on campus or over a cup of coffee in the Student Center. People find themselves involved With others as they work together in residence halls, fraternity houses, and various organizations on campus. lVIost Ball Staters hail from the state of Indiana, but it is not u11- usual to find students from out-of- state or a foreign country.
