ROW 3: Janet Compliment, Bonnie Rigney lkecording Secretaryl, Joyce Markus. ff Donning hat, heels and gloves, a Ball State Pi Kappa Sigma woman packed together a five-day wardrobe and headed south. The occasion for the southern iaunt was the national convention of Pi Kappa Sigma sorority, which is held once every three years. During the summer of this year the Pi Kappa Sigmas convened at the Golden Gate Hotel in Miami Beach for their convention. This year also brought the announcement that one of the new residence halls to be erected on campus would be named in the honor of Mrs. Sharley B. DeMotte. Of course, this caused the Pi Kappa Sigma chapter to sit up and take notice. The chapter recog- nized Mrs. DeMotte as an alum of their organization. In fact, she had been one of the founders of the original Ball State chapter. Once again the actives saw to it that pledges started off sorority life on the right foot, Polly Pi Kap a book on social etiquette, gave the pledges answers to those very important questions concerning behavior and attitude in the social world away from and at Ball State. .:Ef..
