Therefore, Chi Omega sorority walked away with first place honors in the sorority float division at Homecoming time. This is the second straight year that this sorority has attained first place honors in float competition. Face Lifting was done in the Chi O suite with the addition of a peg board where paintings done by Ball Staters were placed in order to add more color and interest to the suite. The Chi Omegas aided by the Sigma Phi Epsilons turned the tables on the old ideas of chivalry and spon- sored the annual Co-Ed Ball which found the girls footing the bills for the evening of fun. When all the Chi Omega women assembled in the Wood Hall suite for those typical hen parties, they called them owl hoots in honor of their symbol, the wise old Chi Omega owl.
