Varsity Has Second Undefeated Season! at 4-O-1. The Spartans came to Ball with high hopes, but their hopes vanished quickly. Ball came out on top and doubled their score. South, the only team without a flaw on their record in the league, came to Ball to play our varsity team, In order to go to the district championship, we had to beat South. A hard fought game ended in a disappointing tie. Twice in a row this football team came through the season, undefeated and in second place. The varsity football team had a great year despite the slow start against Sycamore which ended in a tie. During the next week, however, the team put it all together to fly by Fremont. The next week was homecoming against Trident. It was very close the first half, but we ended up winning by a very large margin. The Lancers were next. They put up a good fight, but not good enough, as our varsity team defeated them by a fairly large margin. After a week of hard practice , the Blackhawks traveled to Crescent to fight the Crusaders and totally crushed them The next two games were the ones that mattered.
