Others in the all-day class progress as rapidly as their individual ability permits. A visit to the busy woodworking shop shows a mult.itude of activities ranging from cabinet making to house construc- tion. Under the cheerful leadership of Mr. White, assisted by Mr. Simons, the boys are learning to make houses and contents in an expert manner. However, do not for a moment suspect. that mechanical work precludes creative effort. The drafting boys give free rein to their inventiveness in plans for bungalows and public buildings, while Page 29 woodworking boys delight in building doll houses, tie racks, and smoking stands out of odds and ends.
