Opening Not lust locks e w e r e f a rn o u s throughout t h e S a n Valley. We were the Braves: the best of the best. That's how we were knowng as athletic factory with no brains. Our Ad- vanced Placement pro- gram, the Academic pentathlon, and our CAP scores proved that we are not just jocks. The Advanced placement rogram consisted of cllasses in History, Spanish, Calculus, and En lish. For the past garee Gabriel I missed a lot of Weekend arties and otller activities to finish my assignments. Patrice Brown years, Baldwin Park High School students have voluntarily taken a series of test given on five subjects: english, math, social studies, science , and the fine arts. Altogether, the top scorers of each subject form the Academic Pentathlon team, which competed against Sierra Vista, winning the majority of the possible fifteen places. Every year the CAP test is given to the seniors . The scores are compared to the scores of Sierra Vista, and the school with the higher score gets the AP trophy. The senoirs successfully kept up with the tradition of excellence that was established last year. The students who participated in the A.P. program, Academic Pentathalon, and the CAP tests, proved that we were not just jocks. jingle Villafronca
