01' EWOI' As we are indebted to our forefathers for estab- lishing a free and democratic government in America, we are indebted to the courts of law for maintaining that freedom. ln this nineteen-sixty Sagittar we are, therefore, using the theme of JUSTICE, and, in doing so, apply it to our present-day system of free education. Because JUDGES direct our courts, determining the fundamental points of law, we thought it only proper that they should represent the ADMINISTRATION, since the administration is the head of the school, determining the fundamentals of education. Because the BAILIFFS guard the courts, it is only proper that they represent the FACULTY, for the faculty is the guardian of free education. The LAWYERS interpret the law to insure everyone of an equal chance for justice, while STUDENT GOV- ERNMENT regulates activities to provide all with a well- rounded education. We used the COURT CLERK, who records all trans- actions, to represent the SENIORS, who record four years of fun and enioyment. While the JURY reviews the facts of a case, the UNDERGRADUATES review their past year. Just as evidence is used in concluding a case, ACTIVITIES show evidence of a well-rounded curricu- lum . . . and since a court trial requires some kind of FINANCE, we must not forget our ADVERTISERS, who furnished the foundation for Your 1960 Sagittar.
