if I COLEEN VAUGHN RANDY WESTGATE RONNIE WESTGATE MARTHA WHITNEY PATTY WILLIAMS RITA ZELLER 3 Mixed Emotions Come ith emories of Past Years The seniors of 1971 ended their high school careers with thoughts of the many accomplishments they brought to Baldwin High School and to themselves. Among their accomplishments was the successful junior-senior ban- quet and prom, To Rome With Love, which they gave their junior year. Alsonas juniors, they presented the play OUR HEARTS WERE YOUNG AND GAY. In their final year, as seniors, the class participated in homecoming celebrations by contributing a class float, and later in the year by hav- a fishing booth for the Student Council Carnival. Class meetings were spent planning for the senior trip and preparing for graduation cere- monies. Outstanding seniors in football who proudly represented B. H. S. in the all-conference team were Doug Turner, David Jones, jeff Chubb, jim McMillen, Mike Atwood, and Doug Chanay, who also made the all-area team. The senior class also had three excellent debaters who achieved the first place rating at the regional tournament: David Polson, Pam Schmidt, and Marty Hobson. 75
