Staffs Strive for Creativit Patty Williams, newspaper editor, faced a formidable task this year in establishing The Sound of '71. Students always looked forward to the news of the school every two weeks. The staff pub- lished articles and stories that were of interest to the majority of the students--something which is difficult to do. Such issues as un- rest over the dress code, behavior at lyceums, faculty and admini- stration unrest over the students' unrest, lunchroom etiquette, and apathy among all students, were just a few of the more popular issues that the paper had to deal with. Members of the newspaper staff were Patty Williams, editor-in-chief, Miriam Kinyon, Connie Lindholm,'Ric Hitchcock, Mike Atwood, Donna Anderson, and Nancy Hey. Walter Hill, yearbook editor, prepared the foundation for this year's annual. His diligent work and concern for the perfection of the yearbook never ceased while compiling pictures and copy into a complete story of the memorable events of the year. Bob Martin and Steve Lynch spent prolonged hours in the dark room printing up their assigned pictures. Martha Doty, editor of school activities and organizations, along with her assistant, Julie Davis, hassled over the many' clubsfand highlights of the year to make the reader relive the past experiences of the year through action pictures and copy. Connie Lindholm, editor of the senior class, her assistant, Nancy Hey, and Susan Plank, editor of underclassmen, took interest in compiling pictures of those who make a high school unique--stu- dents. Sports action was put together by Steve Lynch, editor, and Jerry Seele, assistant. The annual staff tried to have the reader travel from September through May, noting some of the important events which made each day a year of rich memories.
