Newly Formed Spirit Committee Ignites Pep Spirit Committe was a newly formed B Club showed active participation this year, especially during the basketball season where non-players cheered the team on. QFIRST ROWQ: Walter Hill, Stephen Zeller, Mike Retford, jim King, secretary- treasurer, Bruce Chambers, Student Council rep., Mike Atwood, vice- president, jeff Chubb, president, Ric Hitchcock, Mike Swan, QSECOND ROWJ: Bob Martin, Eric Ikenberry, Karl Townsend, Tim jones, Mike Carriker, Dorin Muncy, Lary Trowbridge, Rick Sawyer, Vernon Wilson, QTHIRD ROWJ: Paul jones, David Palson, joe Brown, Doug Hartpence, JOhn Taul, Rick Webb, jim Irick, Bob jones, QFOURTH ROWQ: Miles Stotts, Roger Carlson, Doug Chanay, jim McMillan, Roger Christie, Doug Turner, jerry Seele, Randy Westgate, David Coates, and David jones. part of Pep Club this year. The twelve members, two girls and a boy from each class, were chosen by the Pep Club board because of their enthusiasm and school spirit. The committee started off the foot- ball season with the first skit and every game day wore their new purple and white uniforms. Besides being in skits, the com- mittee also decorated the team's bus with food and candy during both football and basketball season. MBU Club Sounds Gff in Cheering Block Letterman's Club created their own cheering block this year. The block was designated by purple derbys, Bulldog T- shirts, and letter jackets. Money-making projects for the club were the selling of purple and white stocking caps and a bas- ketball throw at the Student Council carnival. The caps were a popular expres- sion of loyalty to the teams. The B Club members supported the teams with real enthusiasm and expressed a great deal of sportsmanship throughout the entire year. The B Club wrote and drafted a new constitution which was accepted. During football and basketbal seasons, Spirit Committee supported the teams in various ways. A favorite, created by the committe, was a candy, poster-filled bus which awaited the players after the game.
