Kays Work Hard to Help Host Regional Conference The KAYS began their year by hosting their regional confer- ence of the Kansas Association for Youth. The conference was a great success because of the hard work of the club. During the Christmas season the KAYS went carolling with the KAYETTES, and had a party afterwards. To receive their 3000 point award, the club held one of its hardest membership drives ever, the members made posters to increase membership, talked to new students about joining, and held meetings that were oriented to the new member. One of the highlights of the year was the panel discussion for a joint meeting of the KAYS and KAYETTES. T ics of discussion were dating, girl and boy friends exchanging gifts, and the Women's Lib movement. As a project to raise money, the group controlled traffic for the Baldwin Invitational Basketb Tournament. With the help of Mr. Larry Colson and Mr. jack Brookshire, sponsors, the KAYS had a year that truly exemplifi the theme of the conference, Stand and Serve with Spirit in the Silver Seventies . op- all Miles Stotts, KAY president looks on with Dierck Casselm an, K.
