Hi! I am B-B Blackhawk, the spirit of Baldwin High. You could- n't see me, but 1 began the four year climb with you forty-four Sen- iors. Soon after you were accepted members of the student body, you began your part in the annual Homecoming ceremonies. Jackie Thoreson and Gene Aune represented your class on the Homecoming court. You worked hard to win your first magazine campaign. Your sophomore year rapidly came and flew by. You had fun deco- rating your second Homecoming float, Hwatch Baldwin Climb to Gloryn, which was awarded second prize. You chose Julie Zillmann and Gordy Olson as attendants to the Queen and King. When the third year arrived, you were approaching several high- lights. The first of the year was another exciting Homecoming. Shelda Wynveen and John Hanson represented your class in the court of honor, I was by your side during the rush to prepare the Junior Prom. You did a wonderful job in planning decorations to carry out the theme HApril Loven. Juany and Gordy reigned as King and Queen. Everyone enjoyed the lovely music of Jules Herman's orchestra. The third high- light of the year was your Junior Class Play. You must have felt my presence backstage holding your hand those evenings. You reached the climax of your high school career during the fourth year. You began realizing that as you made preparations for your last Homecoming. Your float again received second prize. I shared the pride in your class when Queen Sharon and King Gordy Were crowned. Graduation marked the end of your four year climb. You are young men and women now, facing life's joys and sorrows. Next year another group will replace you at Baldwin High. B-B B1aCkh2lWk 19
