far 7f Mr. Berndt's school day is made up of confused underclass- men struggling with the English language. Baldwin has been very proud of its foren- sics record. His other activities in- clude the Junior class play and caring for the library. Mr. Bjerkeng's sched- ule is filled with enthusiastic students trying their best to please our busy driv- ing instructor. He is affectionately called HLarsH by his students. He also is the assistant coach and Junior class ad- viser. The eager musicians at Baldwin are taught their Hdo,re,miH by our music teacher, Mr. Bilderback. The various music groups and ensembles have been enjoyed by many under his able direc- tion. He is also ad- viser for the Senior class. mls everybody happy?' Mr. Durner, who is an avid sports fan, can be heard at our ath- letic events cheering the boys on. Besides a full schedule of commercial classes, he is the adviser of our HBlackhawk Bulle- tinn, and also advis- er of the Student Council, and manager of our record-break- ing magazine campaign. The other half of our newly-wed couple is Mrs. Bilderback our English and Social Problems teacher. She has shared many hours with the staff as adviser of the Blackhawk. Our science and math instructor is Miss Schaffner. Her day is filled with eager chemists who are ready to try any- thing. As adviser of the present sen- ior class she has had many trying experiences. And what would freshmen do without Miss Schaffner to teach them the basic dance steps? 4 4 Q if, Mr. Guenther has be- come famous this year for his Chemistry class containing a few girls. The agri- culture and shop classes fill the rest of HChief'sH day. He is the adviser of FFA and coaches the FFA basketball team. He is also the adviser of the Junior class. S Mr. King's teasing and joking has made his Physical Educa- tion and Science classes memorable oc- casions. We will all remember his familiar entrance in to class, HTake out a half a sheet of paperln The football and basket- ball games mean a lot to all of us. We have been proud to have Mr. King coach- ing our teams. He is also the Sophomore class adviser. 1
