In August of 1954, thirty-six freshmen began traveling the four-mile road of B H S with a true hope and desire. We were initiated by the sophomores and accep- ted into a new experience. Getting to know each other and meeting students from the other classes were accomplished within the first two miles. Freshman Home- coming attendants were Karen Bosman and Arnie Jacobsong Sophomore attendants, Judy Peterson and Jim Weiss. Traveling into the third mile, we awaited the anxiety of a busy and exciting year. Our Homecoming attendants were Jackie Vail and Lowell Norden, and our float H0ur Little Angeln won first prize. Then, having topped our quota in the annual magazine campaign, we were awarded a half day off and a picnic at Rocky Coulee. On April 26, we held our Junior-Senior Prom with King Don Uyren and Queen Karen Bosman reigning. The gym was beautifully decorated around the theme HAngels 1n the SkY S the couples danced to music by Larry Fischer and his orchestra. Our play cast presented HSeventeenth Summern on lay 2 and 3 under the direction of Mr, Parker. Our fourth and final mile, like the three preceeding, was filled with plan- ning and work. We again took first place on the Homecoming float NI Baldwin, Take Thee New Richmondng Jim leiss and Joyce Bol reigned as king and queen. We again showed our salesmanship by winning the magazine campaign, and going on the tradi- tional picnic.
