Ker- zisnik, true to form, booted the pigskin through the uprights. Baldwin emerged victorious with a final score of 7 to U. Bethel was the next to feel the effects of the victory over Brentwood, by being on the short end of a 6 to U defeat. ln the following games with West View, Verona, Snowden, Clark and Plum, Baldwin was not so fortunate in acquiring victory scores. ln the case of the Allegheny game, Baldwin was defeated by a far superior team. Again Blitz at Resi If K BALDWIN BASKETEERS Coach Schrickers basketball team advanced another step into the lime- light of sports at Baldwin by winning their first and only game in W.P.l.A.l.. competition. This feat was accomplished when Baldwin, feeling the sting of previous league contenders, shifted into high gear and vanquished Snow-- den High, one of their traditional rivals. The varsity also won two non-league games, St. Wendelins and Oakdale. Both of these contests showed what the boys really could do. To make up for all their defeats and shortvcomings the team put all their energyi and reserve into walloping the faculty by the nerve-wracking' score of 40 to 8. Through the aid of the following Seniors, basketball has found its place in Baldwin Sports. They leave school with a sincere hope that Baldwin will have better seasons in the future. The Senior Lettermen are: Alfred Priches Fredrick Felix Francis Zipfel Stanley Binaman The lunior High Basketball team, coached by Mr. Brandtonies, entered into their first year of W.P.l,A.L. competition with little experience but a lot of spirit. They repeated the performance of the varsity by winning one of their eight league games and winning two other non-league contests.
