caxaaf Aoltwlkles INITIATION Freshman initiation was held September 25. The seniors gave the six freshmen a delightful evening highlighted by a delicious lunch. SHOWERKBQOMS Mr. Olson and the Ikes painted the shower room floors gray, Miss Blochwitz made plastic shower curtains for the g1rl's room, and John Mitchell helped put them up. SCHOOL MASTER'S On October 18, the B.T.A. entertained the School Master's in the lunch room. NEW SINK The P.T.A. purchased a new sink for the lunch room using money they received from the sale of cook books. JUNIOR HIGH TEAM A Junior high basketball team was organized this year. The girls' won one and lost seven games, but their record doesn't tell the story, CHRISTMAS PROGRAM An all school Christmas program was held in Harmony Hall. The primary roomsangsongsand gave skits and the intermediate room pre- sented a play Away In The Manger. Thanks for the Shirt and 'To Ellen-From Dadn were two short plays presented by the high school. A nhnmcmmsmmbnmmphn. COOKS Mrs. Amelia Wosoba and Mrs. Ruby Morehead were our cooks until Christmas time. Then Mrs. Wosoba resigned, and Mrs. Lillian Mitchell Joined the cooking staff. BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT Twenty-two students and teachers attended the Boys' State Basketball Tournament at Iowa City, Thursday afternoon and evening, March 29th, In spite of the rain, snow, appointments not kept and rather poor roads everyone had fun, Especially Fuzzy. JUNIOR-SENIOR BANQUET The Juniors entertained the seniors May 5, at B,H.S. at a banquet. The theme.was nautical but nice. Delicious food was served by some of the mothers who belong to the P.T.A. SKIP DAY The seniors had a marvelous time in Davenport on their skip day. They v1s1tedgA Little 'Bit of Heaven at the Palmer Institute, and almost got on a T.V. program. EIGHTH GRADE On May 18, the eighth grade presented two plays and two movies for the public in connection with their graduation.
