Tiny Hall. and a draw by Mark Confer proved to he high spots of the evening for the Eagles, Bald Eagle 22 Bald Eagle Nittany 15 ln a real ding-dong hittle. the Eagles showed their stull as they defeated BEN for their lirst win of the season, Decisions hy Dick Fetzer. Owen Herniman, Al Hastings, Ron Lucas and pins hy Tim Gates and Tiny Hall made the dilference in the score. Bald Eagle ll State College 29 Making a tough fight of it in the heavier weights. the Eagles lost to unbeaten State College, Triumphs hy Tim Gates. Dick Alexander. Al Hastings. Dick Alexander. Mark Confer, and Tiny l-lall registering, wins. there was little hope for Penns Valleys Cause. Bald Eagle 5 Lewistown 33 With Dick Alexander scoring the only win for the Eagles and Tim Gates getting a draw. the Eagles lost to a tough Lewistown teriin for their third loss of the year, Halls unbeaten streak was snapped and Tim Gates reiriained the only unbeaten. as the Eagles just could not seein to get started. Bald Eagle 35 Captain lack 9 The Eagles tramped over the Trojans of Captain lack with a convincing win and got hack into the win column again. Losing only at 112. IZO, and l27. the Eagles completely dominated the match. Tim Gates reniained unbeaten as he pinned his man. Ron Lucas, Tiny l-lall. and a draw hy Owen l'lerniinaii clinched the ineet for the Eagles, DISTRICTS The mighty Eagles wound up the wrestling season hy traveling to the Loek l-layeii State Teachers College Field House to compete in the District Six VVrestling Tournament. Most of the hoys found the competition to he very tough and they were defeated in the preliminaries. This was the case of Tiny l-lall. our 165 pound stalwart. who was the yictinz of an unsuspeeted upset. However. Tim Gates and Dick Ali-Xander ur-ed their varsity experience ti: greai .idvaiia lilglt' and adyaiited to the seiiii-finals. Diek lost ii tough SVI detision hui Tim niuscied his way into the finals.
