Student ac ti ity rezlvlzl Harvey Auditorium, seating nearly l6O0 people, was used by community and school organizations tor activities. HARVEY AUDITORIUM was the focal point for cultural and educational events for the student body, as well as the com- munity. Musical concerts, plays, and lectures were qiven in Harvey. Student assemblies were attended here also. The punqency of formaldehyde, and the explosions from the chemistry labs were familiar in the SCIENCE BUILDING. Science students appreciated the new lab and lecture facilities. The Science Building in use since l96l was the home ot the Science Department. - . is . - fsgils The Administration Building housed the Principal, Assistant Principals and Counselors. With its contemporary modern desiqn, the ADMINISTRATION BUILDING was a most attractive and familiar sight on the campus of 1963. It was considered the heart of the campus, for it housed both the Administrative offices-those of the principal, assistant principals, and coun- selors-and the student offices of gov- ernment and business. vund the campu 6uil ing . WARREN HALL was the hub of the sprawling Bakersfield High campus, the center of English, foreign language, mathematics, and business education classes. Here, throughout a school day, surged the aspiring BHS students, al- ways mindful of their respective careers. The new addition to our wheel of ac- tivity was SPINDT HALL, dedicated by the class of 1962, honoring our former principal, H. A. Spindl.
