Each type of service is under an adminisiraior, oi whom 'rhere are nearly Twenty, some fulltime and some wiih part-lime disirici responsibiliiies. Sev- eral have staiis io help carry on the work efiicienily. The work accomplished shows up in amazing siaristics, as, for example, the 48,000 plaie lunches served in five Disirici caieierias during January alone. ln charge of over- all adminisirafion was The Disiricf Superiniendent, while The Depuiy Superiniendent had charge of the business services and ihe Assisiant Superiniendeni the depariment oi insiruciional services. In the business services, each under an adminisiraior, were accounting, purchasing, caieierias, engineering, building and grounds, and pupil iransporiaiion. The depari- meni of instruction included insiruciional malerials, adull educaiion, aliendance, con- tinuation education. Testing and guidance, and supervisors and coordinators oi several subject iields including agriculiure, physical and health educaiion, disiribuiive educa' +ion and apprenticeship training. Working closely with our Disirici Superiniendenl, lvir. T. L. Mccuen. were Mr. Theron S. Taber, Jr., Depuiy Superintendent and Dr. John W. Eckhardt, Assisfanf Su- periniendeni. The BOARD OF TRUSTEES, as fhe confrolling body of fhe Disfricf, served fo guide our schools in all maffers of policy. One of fhe Board's rnosf imporfanf dufies fhis year was fhe allofmenf of funds for fhe new buildings now finished or being consfrucfed on our campus and for ofhers in fhe Disfricf.
