FRE HMAN CLASS FRESHMAN CLASS C.-xI,ENIJAR October 20 Freshman Stunt Hilarity hit a dizzy high in The Newest Deal, the Freshman Stunt that was pre- sented Wednesday, October 20. The stunt was divided in four merry scenes. aw-ording to casual observers. The first was an eleetiou ofa freshman couuvil member in the interior ol' a classroom. the seeond scene was located in the registrar's ofiiee where the likenesses of Mr. Hart, Mr. Loustalot and Mr. Wileox and others were found. The third svene was the freshman stunt tryout, and a vlever finale was worked in the last seene. which was at the Bakersfield-Taft football vlash. Playing the lead was Scott Bradford. who acted as Freddy Frosh. the typival Freshman of round cheeks, innoeenve and ever-greenuess. Susy Simple made her bow as the c-ompletely dumb dame. enavted by Betty Williams. Others included Rose llashin as Polly Peppy, the singer: the hard-boiled. confident Sophomore. and Harry Harmoniea was portrayed by Bob Austin. who also played the harmoniva: Stanley Combs as Benny Rosh, Les Garone as Leo Lilty. who played the accordion: a streamlined duo tap was offered by Helena Stensrud and Barbara VViner: Betty XVeaver. singing: Marjorie Landis. the avvordion, and Ruth Whitley played the marimba. The direvtor was acted by Betty Twaddell. The whole stunt was under the eapable diret-tion ot' Miss Morris and was pronouneed a huge succ-ess by the student body.
