Dr. Ralph Prator, president of Bakersfield College, this year completed his eighth year as admin- istrative head ofthe college. A former high school and iunior college teacher in his own right, Dr. Prator came to Bakersfield from his responsibilities as Director of Admissions and Records, and Director of the University Summer Session at the University of Colo- rado. He is well-known in national educa- tional circles, having served on various com- mittees and boards of the American Asso- ciation ot Junior Colleges. On February l Dr. Prator accepted the presi- dency of the newly-established San Fer- nando Valley State College. This signal honor came as a result of Dr. Prator's out- standing leadership of Bakersfield College during the past eight years. -.. , S I Qg.
