A$ i High School Week delegates from Baker High School were given special recognition at the High School Week awards banquet. Baker's delegates scored highest, s a i roup and on an average, on the High School Week test among Class B schools. An MSI- High School Week Presidential Scholarship totaling $1,693 was resented to the students along with a traveling plaque and a permanent plaque. Each school can award the Presidential Scholarship to up to three seniors, not lecessarily High School Week delegates who plan to attend MSU next year. School administrators will determine the winners. Baker delegates were from left: Robert iurns and Mark Dunn. This year Vicki Cttke was selected to the McDonald's All- American High School Band. 21

OUTSTANDING STUDENTS This vear there was four co-valedictorians. All of the students had a 4.00 grade point average. They were: Dean Wang Vicki Uttke fanya Dilworth [on Nuemann The top ten seniors at BHS were: Dean Wang Vicki Uttke Tanya Dilworth Jon Nuemann Mike Dexter Robert Burns Tammy Gamrath Jamyne Mayo Maria Prokop Mark Dunn Presidential Academic Eitness Awards were presented to Robert Burns,Julie Carlson, Mike Dexter, Tanya Dilworth, Mark Dunn, jamyne Mayo, Maria Prokop, and Mark Dunn, Hon Nuemann, Vicki Uttke, and Dean Wang. The American Legion Post No. 35 presented awards to five of the seniors, Jon Nuemann and Vicki Uttke received the American Legion School Award, rhe Americanism Awards were presented to Tanya Dilworth and Mark Dunn, David Delcamp received the Commander s Award Scholarship. The following students were awarded scholarships: Molly Barefoot - Northern Montana College Presidential scholarship - $1000, Edwina Eichenberger Edowment scholarship $200, DECA Grant-in-Aid award - $200, and the Bank of Baker All Around Student award - $200. Brenda Bectold - Miles Community College honor Scholarship - $450,Kenny Braun - and Edwina Eichenberger Endowment Scholarship - S200. Kenny Braun - Western Montana College Booster Club scholarship - $500, Sharon Breitbath - Montana State University Presidential Scholarship - $500. 22
